Amethyst is a variety of quartz, much like Rose Quartz. From the outside amethyst looks like a humble stone, but it hold its beauty within. There's not really enough research to show how amethyst forms, leaving us fascinated and enchanted with its mystery.
What are its benefits?
Amethyst is healing crystal, as it brings awareness to our bodies. As it is connected to our third eye, amethyst provides us clarity in perception. The name 'amethyst’ translates to ‘non-intoxicate’ in ancient Greek. What's more, in Ancient Greece, they believed that if one drank wine from a goblet made of amethyst, it would prevent you from drunkenness and overindulgence.
